Medical School

you can talk for your mother
the people she loves, and the rhythm she quake
and i lied cuz i felt bad
i never thought i'd know somebody was gone
at the church, they are marching
i only remember holding the statue's hand
and the dog, she is talking,
she is telling me things i don't want you to hear
in a robe, in a kitchen
bills to pay for your medical school
in a robe, in a kitchen,
bills to pay, your kids are away at school
and the bugs on the front porch,
i never thought i'd have to cry for you dad
all the food, it is melting
the balcony's rot and your houses decay
at the church, they are marching
i only remember holding the statue's hand
and the dog, she is talking,
she is telling me things i don't want you to hear
in a robe, in a kitchen,
bills to pay for your medical school,
in a robe, in a kitchen,
bills to pay, your kids are away at school

Graduations
03:41

I cannot feel my muscles,
i think i have become a beach,
i think i'll wait this one out,
listen to your voicemail on repeat
and though i have not seen you, it sucks to hear you're okay
i think i've figured all this out
i think it's getting colder, my friends are getting older
everyone is graduating, and i'm still at home waiting
wondering when i'll see you again, on holidays, long weekends,
i think it's getting old by now
i think i'm gonna end things, you think i play pretend things
you want me to come over, but i don't drive well sober
you know, i wanna see you, i really miss you terribly
i think i've figured all this out
i think it's getting colder, my friends are getting older
everyone is graduating, and i'm still at home waiting
wondering when i'll see you again, on holidays, long weekends,
i think it's getting old by now...

Luna Pier
03:28
|

Take me down to the luna pier, where the water stands still
no need to worry, put down your sleeping pills,
eight-hundred miles ain't so bad, get in the car and don't look so sad
we can make our home in the mist, and rest our heads on the lily pads
it's nice out here, wouldn't you say? it's too bad that we can't stay
cuz home is where the heart is, and you can't run away
but maybe we can make the hike someday, someday..
